SHUTTERS A colonial shutter can be one of the most aesthetically pleasing ways to protect a home or business; they remain on the home year round and can be open or closed in a matter of minutes by one person. Our colonials are made from extruded aluminum and all internal fasteners are stainless steel, followed by a powder coat finish. The tieback system is a bullet clip made from brass with a chrome coat finish and stainless steel fasteners. An Affordable Aluminum Colonial Shutter provides great sound insulation and energy efficiency when in the closed position, as well as added security. At Affordable Aluminum we manufacture two distinct styles of Colonial shutters, the “Elite” brand and the “Bulldog” brand.
