Affordable Aluminum Home

RESIDENTAL WINDOWS:
Residential WindowClick to Buy MaterialThe main two lines of residential windows we carry are PGT and Simonton. They both come in either vinyl frame or aluminum frame; some of the main differences between the two are conductivity and ability to refit. The vinyl frame window does not conduct temperature like an aluminum frame window does, and therefore creating condensation issues while the frame depth on a vinyl window is much larger than that of an aluminum so on a window replacement job the aluminum frame window would most likely fit much better with existing curtains and interior sills. Some other differences are vinyl windows come in more color options; better insulating and energy star ratings with performance glass and will not show scratches as much. The aluminum frame windows are stronger and can get Miami-Dade ratings, you can get larger impact windows, and you have fewer restrictions with horizontal sliders. Both are similarly priced with single hung (double hung only available in vinyl) and the aluminum is usually less expensive in side sliders.
